Construction and equipment of modern building infrastructure for CI TASK, intended for the implementation of the CC STOS project and other R&D projects.

The hi-tech network and computing infrastructure, a server room with a supercomputer, as well as innovative SMART IT services responding to the needs of science and business.

B Building / Zone B

In zone B there is a server room, consisting of 7 chambers, including a data storage bunker and the Center of Informatics TASK areas: High Power Computers Department, Network Department, Large Data Sets Department, Big Data Department.

from the cold installation to heat the building.

The building in all parts is designed for disabled people.

Server room complex

is the main element of CC STOS. Equipped with advanced IT infrastructure with specific technical and technological requirements, consisting of 5 large and 2 smaller specialized chambers.

Research and development laboratories

A fully equipped, modern space for the development of science and business, adapted to conduct agile research and development as well as implementation projects, conducted by interdisciplinary project teams.

Office and project spaces

They perform smart office functions, ensuring the development of new internet technologies and SMART services. It is also the workplace of the High Power Computers, Networks and Big Data departments.

Architectural solutions

are characterized by high aesthetics, referring to historical planning systems and integrating the existing buildings of the Gdańsk Tech campus.

DEVELOPMENT PART OF THE PROJECT

Research activities

Research and development activities will focus on 6 basic areas: security and efficiency of transmission, collection and Big Data processing, development of internet cloud computing technologies for SMART services; agile service-oriented software development (SOSE) methodologies; IT services and applications supporting medical diagnostics; Industry 4.0 / IoT, including monitoring of touristically attractive regions; optimization of planning methods and management of huge data sets in various areas of human life. A new department of CI TASK – Big Data Analyzes will also be created.

SMART services combine knowledge from various, even remote research fields. Meeting these requirements ensures wide usefulness of IT services in many areas of human life. The development of agile methods production and the construction of service scenarios for the implementation of various types of projects is an additional challenge that CC STOS undertakes.
